Frogging the frog

It had to be done. I could cry! I’ve suffered from knitter’s denial for weeks now but this morning I had to face it: The Twenty Ten Cardigan I’ve been knitting isn’t going to fit. It is way to big – all because I miscounted one tiny, measly little stitch which means the gauge I knit with was 14 stitches/inch not the 15 st./inch I calculated with. This resulted in the cardigan being too wide by 10 cm and overall looking like a potato sack.
I frogged my frog green cardigan this morning.

I think I’ll wait a day or two before I cast on again,, this time with the correct amount of stitches.

On a happier note, I have finished spinning and plying the English Wool Blend by Wildcraft and have already cast on for a ‘Wandering the Moor’ Shawl! The EWB is a bit coarse but I like it!

There’s a bit more colour to it than the picture shows. I managed to squeeze about 600 meters out of 3,5 ounces of which I am quite proud 🙂
It knits up like this:

Now I’m off to our local knitting meetup, a brief respite before tomorrow it’s once more into the breach: The new semester starts on Monday! Have a good week, everybody!
